Our eighth week was again quite hot but we visited some places anyway…
First we moved to Landhaus Karin and really enjoyed our stay there with family Hanisch who are big Africa fans and even have an african wellness area.
The beginning of the week was very hot. I mean really hot – like 36 degrees. But we had a nice shadowy balcony and that was nice.
We visited the Schwarzwald Plus Academy which was about social media. And let me tell you something: The internet won’t go away!!!
Then we went to an even hotter place: Dorotheenhütte, where until today glasblowing is made. There we could also have a look on christmas decoration. Don’t forget! Christmas is coming soon! (Though you don’t want to hear that right now!)
We have visited the romantic village Schiltach, with its historic half-timbered centre and went for a cool down to the brewery of Kloster Alpirsbach. And for a cool drink of course!
The guide was very funny and did the tour in four languages. Impressing! But after that we were ready for a beer or two…

In the monastery area there is another subiaco cinema. Maybe the most stylish one. No wonder! It has been the dining-hall from the former abbot. Quite funny, that now there are shown movies with latest technology.
We visited of course also the monastery itself but unfortunately there exists a photo prohibition. You can buy a photo-permission, but it is only for private use not for publishing. That’s stupid!
To round it up we visited the third of the subiaco cinemas in Schramberg which is located in an old Majolica factory. (You never heard of Majolica? We neither… We had to google it…) We saw a very weird movie there…
But the cinema has also a nice atmosphere. You may bring some nibbles from the restaurant right beside and even drinks and food. A very nice concept.
And we have been hiking again. We went to the Wildsee. An awesome place. And not so crowded as the Mummelsee. The way to the lake is not easy, but worth the effort.
We picked some berries and enjoyed them as well. Though we don’t have a kitchen we could eat our self picked berries. The hotel were we had dinner was so nice to serve us our own wood strawberries.
Again! So many visits and experiences. The week passes always so quick.
